Valerie co-founded the museum with David Hartmann and Quentin Davis. With a B.A. in English and PhD in Italian Literature, Valerie is passionate about developing pre-literacy skills in toddlers and preschoolers, and cultivating a love of reading in children of all ages. She is the current Outreach Committee Chair and loves helping Imagination Station serve at-risk children and families in the CSRA. When she is not at the museum, Valerie enjoys spending time with her husband and three sons and working as a freelance writer and editor.
